Privacy Statement

This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for the Richmond Art Gallery Association (RAGA). RAGA is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to operate and support the Richmond Art Gallery.

The Richmond Art Gallery is dedicated to promoting dialogue among diverse communities on challenging ideas and issues of today as expressed through local, national and international contemporary art. Through its exhibitions, publications, educational programming, collections, and significant partnerships, the Richmond Art Gallery provides opportunities for the enrichment of life in Richmond while serving the contemporary arts community in Canada.

Your privacy is very important to us.

The Richmond Art Gallery Association is dedicated to protecting the privacy of our members, gallery users and patrons. All personal information that is collected, used and disclosed is done so in accordance with the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

We respect your concerns about maintaining strict privacy. We do not collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge, and when you choose to provide your personal information, it is kept confidential. All personal information records are secure and are not shared or disclosed to outside sources or third parties unless proper consent has been obtained.

We maintain some records of individuals who contact us, particularly artists or agents seeking exhibitions, so that we can contact them later or provide information to them in the future. All personal information is protected and is only used for its specified purpose. All personal information is returned or destroyed after the term of that specified purpose is concluded.

Complaint Procedure
If you suspect that we have handled your personal information in a manner that does not comply with this privacy statement, you may contact the Richmond Art Gallery’s Privacy Officer in writing. We will respond to your request within thirty days.

Choice/Opt-Out/Contacting Us
If you previously chose to share personal information with RAGA through, for instance, membership or registration processes and have since changed your mind, you may opt-out or change your information at any time. If you have any questions or concerns about the Richmond Art Gallery Association’s management of your personal information, or to make changes in your information, please contact:
